Overview

Use a hosted checkout when your server knows the price of each order. Use a payment link when you want a page people can pay, with no server.

How a hosted checkout works

1. Create the checkout on your server. The browser never holds the secret key or the amount.
2. The return URL is a hint. Call GET /checkouts/:id before you fulfill.
3. The payment goes to the account that owns the key, into its main pocket.
